Looking for year-end tax deductions?
Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:44PM Most of us don't enjoy paying taxes. However, it can be really fun donating goods and money to charitable organizations. AND that is tax deductible. I don't know enough about our crazily complex tax code to give any tax advice, but, as many of you know, I am a neat-freak very concerned with neatness. My house tends to be very clean and free of clutter. In my city, we have a local chapter of The Arc that picks up donations every two weeks. That's right, they come to my door, which forces me to gather stuff we no longer need. I don't use them every two weeks, but what a great deal.
ARC TruckPlus, I LOVE ARC! Their mission statement says, "The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes."
I also love donating stuff (which includes couponing stockpiles that pile up a little too high) to Goodwill Industries. Locate a local Goodwill near you by clicking on the picture below:
