I'm Back...

we laughed

we celebrated Christmas

we baptized our daughter...

I took some time off blogging and couponing to do life. I didn't cut a coupon, shop a sale, or save any money. Instead I soaked up every minute of winter break [my husband is a teacher and had the last two weeks off] and spent time with family and friends. I am refreshed and ready to ring in the new year with some amazing deals. Hope you have been able to relax and enjoy the holidays as well!

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's, Soon-to-be Daddy's, Grandpas, and those who play the Dad role! Father's Day is always a little bitter sweet for me because my Dad died when I was only 3. Although, I am so blessed to have AMAZING older brothers who have always loved, supported, and nutured me like a Dad would. I am beyond lucky to have an amazing husband who is the best Daddy anyone could ask for. It is the greatest gift to see his love for our girls and I am THANKFUL everyday they have him! Our new bundle is here...

Ellie Jean Naslund was born on March 16, 2011 at 4:23 pm. She weighed 7lb 1oz and was 20.25 inches long. She is beautiful and we feel so blessed that we have two amazing little girls!

Maddie is the best Big Sister and is adjusting well. We are just starting to figure this two kids situation out, so stick with me and I will be back to blogging as time allows :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. We are celebrating today at my Mom's house with family and spending time relaxing (before I have to work). A little funny story about my daughter Maddie just as we were sitting here. I told her to tell Grammie Happy Thanksgiving and she said "Happy Candy" then she said "Happy Smarties". Just so happens her Grammie had Smarties waiting for her. They must know eachother too well :) Hope you all can take time today to enjoy your friends, family, and yummy food!

What a Day!

To give you a little history...I have a two year old daughter named Maddie. She is the cutest thing you have ever seen, she fills our life with so much JOY. Today however, was not a JOYful day. She has struggled with constipation since she was one, as has since been diagnosed with a milk allergy. We thought we were in the clear with all her ISSUES until this last week. She has not gone "stinky" in 8 days! Seriously, can you imagine? As a nurse I did all the things I felt comfortable doing at home such as giving her Miralax, tummy massage, and glycerin suppositories (which I was able to get FREE at Rite Aid with overage of course). After turning blue and not breathing today due to a vagal response I figured I did all in my power and to hand her over to the ER docs. After x-ray and two enemas she was definitely clearing out her bowels (which were plugged up into the small intestine). Whew! I knew it was exhausting for her, but I was totally exhausted too after five hours in the ER. To tell you just how die hard of a Couponer I am, I really felt like we got a decent deal with our $50 copay because we walked out with a Barbie (for her doing such a great job) and a very cute shirt (because she had "stinky" all over hers) FREE from the hospital. I am so glad today is over, and I hope that I do not have to get any more FREE Barbies or t-shirts from the hospital!

Happy Mother's Day!

I am going to take some time today to be with my family. I am so thankful for my beautiful daughter, being a Mom is the most rewarding job in life. I am also so thankful for my Mom. My Mom is so loving, beautiful and generous. I am so thankful to have her as a support. Much love to all you Mommies, Soon-to-be-Mommies, Grammies, etc.

It's been a whirlwind week. We went to Seattle for several days; we shopped, ate great food, and spent time with family. Then I had a baby shower for my sister-in-law Maile on Saturday and celebrated St. Patty's Day, my brother's birthday, then back to work today. Whew...I am exhausted but ready to get back at it. I did do one quick run to Safeway in-between to snag some of the great deals. Really, do you think I could go a whole week without Couponing? With being so busy, I was so excited to get this Busy Mom's Bible FREE in the mail while I was gone, what an amazing Freebie! VACATION...

As I am sure you have seen by the lack of posts the last couple days, we are on vacation. I will update when I can but will be taking a little "break" while we are in Seattle spending time with family and friends. As you can see Maddie is having a great time knee deep in ranch dressing and has a red balloon to boot. So far, that red balloon (causing her hair to be CRAZY) has been many places...thank you Red Robin (she actually thought the Robin was Elmo) for giving her that :)
