Mint: A FREE Money Management Tool
Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 9:48PM As a Dave Ramsey and Clark Howard disciple, I have recently been financially "made-over" by Mint. Mint provides a FREE financial budgeting service that does all of the work for you. It imports all of your bank, credit card, and investment data, provides impressive charts and graphs to clearly see where you are spending, where you are saving, and where you can make some important changes. Best of all, it is FREE!
So, my first question was: is it safe and secure? Before taking their word for it, I went to Consumer Reports and Clark Howard...they both approve. Mint's founder explains the safety and security really well in the short video below:
I have put a few screenshots below, but what I would recommend is sign up for Mint's FREE service and see for yourself. I have tried services like this before (Quicken, Microsoft Money, etc.) but they required work...Mint does everything for you. I also love that Mint has apps on both iPhone and Android. Check out the pictures below.
Do you Mint? Tell us about your experience. Ask questions, and I will do my best to answer them. If you are trying to save a little extra or cut back on expenses, this is a perfect tool. With Christmas spending on your mind, use this tool to help keep you in check.
